Giving Back To Calgary
At Brentwood Dental Clinic we take every opportunity to serve the Calgary community. We know not everyone has access to dental care. Whether we are visiting the Children’s Hospital or providing a service through our Community Dental Health Bus, we know your oral health is important and we are here to help. The Brentwood Village Dental Clinic is pleased to be donating 6 bins like the one pictured here. That’s over 800 spooky themed toothbrushes and reflectors going to local Community Associations and Schools this Halloween season! Stay safe while trick-or-treating and be seen by drivers by using reflectors and lights. And of course, don’t forget to brush and floss after all those sweet treats! In January of 2016, staff members from the Brentwood Village Dental Clinic were happy to teach Oral Hygiene Instruction classes to the International Students at SAIT. These students from Angola were one of many groups we have had the privilege of working with. Our Registered Dental Assistants provide important information, answer oral hygiene questions from the students, and give out complimentary toothbrushes, toothpaste and floss.
On Sunday August 30th 2015, we were thrilled to work with the Alex Community’s Dental Health Bus team for a SMILE Dental Clinic! 40 individuals in need, most of them children, received essential oral care, at Brentwood Village Dental Clinic, at no charge.
If you’ve ever experienced dental pain, can you imagine being unable to do anything about it? Oral health complications can produce extremely negative consequences if not treated swiftly. The Alex Dental Health Bus plays an important role in keeping our community healthy!
Huge thanks to all the hard-working people who made this clinic possible! Special shout-out to Dr. Ronda Salloum for letting us use the Brentwood office and to Dr. Cartwright, Dr. Orr, Joanna, Tara, and Shauna for donating your time!
Dr. Salloum and the entire Brentwood Village Dental Clinic staff were incredibly honored to sponsor a family during the Christmas season of 2012 through the Children’s Hospital Cardiology Clinic. What this means is that Dr. Salloum, all seven of the associate dentists at that time, along with the entire staff, and even some of the businesses that provide us with support services made fiscal donations and pitched in!
Once we collected all donations and received a wish list from our sponsored family, staff members took to the shopping centers, doing their best imitations of Santa’s helpers!
We are proud to report that we were able to fulfill every wish on their Christmas lists and then some.
